Belgium GAA is one of Belgium’s two Gaelic Athletic Association clubs in Belgium and we compete in the European Championships for the 4 main Gaelic Games codes: Hurling, Camogie and Men’s and Ladies Gaelic Football.
Founded in 2003, our club has become one of the cornerstones of the Irish expat community here in Belgium and has brought the traditional Irish sports of Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football to a wide range of nationalities based in Belgium.
We have enjoyed significant success with 8 European Hurling Championships, 10 European Camogie Championships, 13 Ladies Football Championships and 3 Men’s Football Championships.
We’re part of the GAA in Europe, which is divided into different regions in terms of regional competitions. At the end of the season, we compete in the Pan-European Championships.
Where to find us…
We train at the sports pitches at the VUB close to the Etterbeek train station on Monday and Thursday evenings. You can find our training times in the column on the right of the screen.
New Members are always welcome and so if you want to try out any of our sports, or even just come down and see for yourself what it’s all about, come on down – we’d be delighted to welcome you into the Belgium GAA family!
For any queries, or if you are interested in playing with us, send an email to pro.belgium.europe@gaa.ie and we’ll get you sorted!
